Pack your clothes into the dedicated compression compartment and zip it fully closed. Then use the included Airx Mini-Pump — press it onto the valve and pump until you feel resistance. The bag will compress your contents by up to 50%, creating significantly more room for the rest of your gear. The whole process takes about 30–60 seconds. For the AM01 and AM02 models, simply press the one-touch button and the built-in motor does it automatically — no pump required.
Once compressed, the airtight seal holds for the duration of a typical trip — from a weekend getaway to a 2-week vacation — without needing to re-pump. If you notice gradual softening after several days (common in warmer climates), a quick 10-second top-up with the pump restores full compression. The valve is designed for thousands of cycles without degradation.
Yes. All Airx backpacks are designed to meet the personal item or carry-on size limits of major airlines including Ryanair, easyJet, United, Delta, and Emirates. The most widely accepted carry-on maximum is 56 × 36 × 23 cm — our bags are sized to fit within or compress to this range. We always recommend checking your specific airline's policy before travel, as size limits can vary by route and ticket class.
Airx backpacks are water-resistant, not fully waterproof. The outer fabric is treated to repel light rain, drizzle, and splashes — enough to protect your belongings in everyday weather. For heavy downpours or submersion, we recommend using a rain cover or keeping sensitive items in a dry bag inside. The vacuum compression compartment has its own airtight seal, which also adds a layer of moisture protection for clothing stored inside it.
Absolutely. Every Airx Backpack includes a USB-rechargeable mini vacuum pump that fits neatly inside your bag for quick, cordless compression.
Every Airx backpack comes with a 1-year warranty against manufacturing defects — this includes faulty zippers, stitching failures, defective vacuum valves, and pump malfunctions. It does not cover damage from misuse, normal wear and tear, or cosmetic issues like surface scratches. If you experience a covered defect, contact us at support@airx.store with your order number and a photo, and we'll arrange a replacement or repair.
Of course. You’re protected by our 60-Day Airx Guarantee: if it’s not the most efficient backpack you’ve ever owned, return it for a full refund — no questions asked.
Most orders arrive within 7–12 business days depending on your location, and you’ll receive tracking updates via email after dispatch.
A standard backpack gives you a fixed amount of space — what you see is what you get. An Airx vacuum backpack compresses your clothing down to roughly half its original volume, effectively doubling your usable packing space without increasing the bag's exterior size. This means you can pack 5–7 days of clothing into a carry-on-sized bag, skip checked luggage fees entirely, and travel lighter without leaving anything behind. The vacuum system is built directly into the bag — there are no separate bags or external equipment to manage.
