for business travel, the backpack has served me perfectly, complying with the regulations in the measures for backpacks in the airline Avianca.

We just returned from a 14 day European vacation where we took a train to a different city pretty much every single day. I’ve used another large backpack before around Europe that was great but only opened from the top so I thought this would be easier to be able to open and find things quickly while we were constantly on the move. I only packed a carry on and used this backpack as my personal item and it worked great! It also fit perfectly under the plane seat (we’re sales American), fully packed to gills. Dislikes: 1. the shoe compartment on the bottom was more in the way than anything as it’s rolled in the inside but I just smashed it down and used it to store my belts. It’s not practical to used for shoes. 2. The back belt to go over the luggage handle was really tight, so it was not a quick on and off when you’re on the move, I would have liked another inch or so of slack. 3. The back hidden zipper pocket was smart but I personally didn’t use it because it was difficult to open when your backpack is full. It’s built into the back cushion so it was too tight to be of any use. Highly recommend the regular large size as a carryon/personal item. Maybe even the next size up would have still posted but I met someone who had the extended and it looked like wayyyy too much to carry on your back for long periods.
